About The Position

This position requires an experienced Orbital Tube Welder to perform welding tasks in Briggs, TX. The role involves supporting 1st shift operations and overtime as needed. Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible for consideration.

Requirements

• U.S. citizen or permanent resident status.
• 3 or more years of hands-on orbital welding experience.
• Strong manual GTAW welding skills, including hand fitting and tack welding.
• Experience welding to AWS D17.1 or equivalent aerospace standards.
• Ability to read and interpret aerospace 2D and 3D drawings.
• Proficiency with fabrication shop equipment (band saws, grinders, sanders, drills, etc.).
• Experience using precision measurement tools (calipers, height gauges, scales, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Perform orbital welding independently with minimal supervision.
• Support 1st shift assignments (7 am - 3:30 pm CT) and overtime, as needed.
• Lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
• Stand for extended periods (minimum 8 hours).
• Stoop, bend, crawl, and work in confined spaces.
• Perform hand-bending and facing tubing to specification.
• Perform visual and borescope inspections.
• Operate fabrication shop equipment (band saws, grinders, sanders, drills, etc.).
• Use precision measurement tools (calipers, height gauges, scales, etc.).
