About The Position

We are looking for an experienced chairside Oral Surgery Dental Assistant who is reliable, takes pride in their work, and helps patients and teammates have a better day. This hands-on, in-person role supports oral surgery procedures and also helps patients understand treatment recommendations and costs, schedule care before they leave, and keep the provider’s schedule full. Regular, predictable, on-time attendance for the full scheduled shift is an essential function. The assistant is expected to remain engaged with patients during care and maintain professional hygiene, grooming, and clean scrubs each shift. The role includes chairside assistance, radiographs and impressions, accurate charting, operatory turnover, instrument sterilization, and compliance with OSHA and infection-control standards. It also involves presenting treatment plans, explaining fees and insurance estimates, discussing payment or financing options, scheduling and confirming appointments, filling cancellations, following up on unscheduled treatment, and coordinating with the front desk. The physical requirements of chairside work include prolonged sitting or standing, repeated bending, leaning, twisting and reaching, fine motor and repetitive hand movements, close-range vision and hearing, clear communication, lifting and moving items up to 25 pounds, and moving between clinical and office areas. The role involves wearing protective equipment throughout the shift and working with potential exposure to blood, saliva, radiation, disinfectants, and dental materials while following safety protocols. These requirements must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The hiring process includes a phone screen and an in-office working interview. The employer contacts prior employers for references, including questions about attendance, dependability, and teamwork; candidates should provide at least two supervisor references. Offers are contingent on satisfactory reference and background checks. New team members complete a 90-day introductory period.
