About The Position
Oral & Facial Surgery Center is seeking an experienced Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to join their team. This role involves assisting the oral surgeon during surgical procedures, preparing treatment rooms and instruments, taking digital X-rays, documenting clinical information, educating patients, and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment, contributing to a compassionate and high-quality patient care experience.
Requirements
- Previous oral surgery assisting experience is required.
- Current X-ray certification required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Strong knowledge of oral surgery procedures and instrumentation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist the oral surgeon during a variety of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures.
- Prepare treatment rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for each procedure.
- Take digital X-rays and assist with clinical documentation.
- Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
- Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative instructions.
- Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards.
- Ensure operatories remain organized, stocked, and surgery-ready.
- Deliver compassionate chairside assistance while helping create an exceptional patient experience.
