About The Position

Bright Now! Dental, supported by Smile Brands, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Oral Surgery Dental Assistant to support oral surgery services while providing an exceptional patient experience. This role plays a vital part in supporting the oral surgeon before, during, and after surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is confident in a fast-paced clinical environment, prioritizes patient comfort and safety, and has prior oral surgery experience. This position will travel between our Citrus Park and Clearwater office locations.

Requirements

Previous oral surgery dental assisting experience is required.
Current Dental Assistant certification as required by state regulations.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Knowledge of oral surgery instruments, procedures, and sterilization protocols.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a positive team environment.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between the Citrus Park and Clearwater offices.

Responsibilities

Preparing patients and treatment rooms for dental procedures
Helping to educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
Improving oral health, solving dental challenges and bettering smiles every day
Assist the oral surgeon during a variety of surgical procedures, including extractions, implant placement, and other oral surgery treatments.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical equipment.
Monitor and support patient comfort before, during, and after procedures.
Provide post-operative instructions and patient education.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and assist with charting.
Follow all infection control, sterilization, and OSHA guidelines.
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient care and workflow.
