About The Position

Are you passionate about turning shopper insights and data into shelf experiences that win at retail? In this role, you’ll create and optimize planograms that improve visibility, shop-ability, and assortment performance across top retail customers. You’ll blend space planning expertise, analytical horsepower, and strong cross-functional partnership to deliver high-quality shelf recommendations—and help field teams execute them with confidence.

Requirements

  • Proficient in ProSpace or similar space planning software.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including advanced Excel and comfort working across the Microsoft collaboration suite (Teams/SharePoint/PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organization, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Superior attention to detail and a high standard for quality in deliverables.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Category, Insights, and other partners.
  • Proven problem-solving mindset; comfortable troubleshooting issues and navigating ambiguity to deliver solutions.
  • Solid analytical capability—able to interpret data, pull insights, and translate them into clear recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Design winning shelf solutions: Create shelf concepts and planograms using space planning software (e.g., ProSpace/JDA) to maximize visibility, efficiency, and shopper experience.
  • Own planogram excellence: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve “gold standard” shelf planograms aligned to brand/category strategy and in-store execution needs.
  • Support priority retailers: Provide planogram and education support for priority customer teams (top six), while extending support to additional teams as capacity allows.
  • Translate data into shelf recommendations: Leverage syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen) and assortment analytics tools to assess share, distribution, assortment effectiveness, and shelf productivity—then turn insights into actionable planogram recommendations by channel.
  • Enable field capability: Serve as a tool/content expert—support onboarding, develop training materials, and provide ongoing troubleshooting and coaching for field teams.
  • Manage shelf content and assets: Maintain planogram documentation and supporting materials in internal content platforms; keep image libraries and shelf signage catalogs organized and current.
  • Drive visibility through reporting: Produce planogram/merchandising outputs (e.g., Realogram and related reporting) to help internal teams track shelf quality and performance.
  • Support key commercial routines: Contribute merchandising insights for line reviews and annual planning by providing shelf “building blocks,” reset readiness, and customer reset calendar coordination.
  • Apply shopper psychology: Build expertise in shopper behavior and Shopper-Based Design to strengthen shelf ideation sessions and recommendation quality.
