Oracle/SQL Developer
About The Position
The Oracle/SQL Developer will be responsible for developing, updating, and modifying new and existing Oracle PL/SQL code on multiple versions of Oracle backend databases. This role involves tuning and troubleshooting PL/SQL and SQL related issues concerning performance and functionality. The developer will also participate in code reviews, data migrations, database migrations, data masking/scrubbing, and other development activities. Integration and execution of PL/SQL code will be done through Linux/Windows scripting and Perl integration. The position supports the development of complex SQL for non-Oracle based access requests from various platforms including PowerBI, PowerBuilder, Perl, Java, Salesforce, Dynamics CRM, and PowerApps. Responsibilities include participating in design and requirements sessions, supporting test plan creation, data validation scripting, and providing SQL support. The role also involves creating automation scripts for batch processing, QA testing, and BOT automation initiatives. A strong understanding of database design, data manipulation, and the ability to interpret complex PL/SQL and SQL scripts are essential. The developer must be able to leverage cloud technologies for database migration between on-premise and cloud architectures, work on both Windows and Linux servers, and train/mentor peers on PL/SQL and SQL elements. Additionally, the role requires developing, reviewing, and updating Perl scripts to support business and customer requests.
Requirements
- Oracle PL/SQL Development Required 10 Years
- Writing, analyzing and debugging complex SQL Required 10 Years
- High-Level of understanding of the Oracle database environment (objects, connectivity, database features) Required 10 Years
- Experience developing Perl scripts Desired 2 Years
- Experience developing in Salesforce Lightning Nice to have 2 Years
- Experience working with PowerBI Nice to have 10 Years
- Experience working with Dynamics CRM (PowerApps) Nice to have 10 Years
Responsibilities
- Develop, update and modify new and existing Oracle PL/SQL code on multiple versions of Oracle backend databases.
- Tune and troubleshoot PL/SQL and SQL related issues related to performance & functionality.
- Perform and participate in code reviews, data migrations, database migrations, data masking/scrubbing and numerous other development activities.
- Integration & execution of PL/SQL code through Linux/Windows scripting and Perl integration.
- Support development of coding of complex SQL in support of non oracle-based access requests from PowerBI, PowerBuilder, Perl, Java, Salesforce, Dynamics CRM and PowerApps.
- Participate in design & requirements sessions, support creation of test plan, data validation scripting and requests for SQL support.
- Creation of automation scripts in support of batch processing, QA testing and BOT automation initiatives.
- Review/interpret complex PL/SQL and SQL scripts.
- Leverage cloud technologies in support of moving database between on-premise and cloud architectures.
- Work on windows and Linux servers in support of PL/SQL and SQL support services.
- Train/mentor peers on creating analyzing and modifying PL/SQL and SQL elements.
- Develop, review and update Perl scripts to support business/customer requests.
