About The Position

DecisivEdge is seeking a talented and versatile Oracle Middleware & Database Administrator to join their team in Markham, Ontario. This role involves administering and supporting Oracle enterprise applications across various environments, including DEV, QA, UAT, and Production. The position requires hands-on experience with Oracle WebLogic Server, Fusion Middleware, Oracle databases, and integration technologies. The administrator will be responsible for deployments, upgrades, patching, environment refreshes, monitoring, performance tuning, and providing L2/L3 production support in a 24x7 environment. The role also includes managing security, compliance, and troubleshooting interface failures and middleware issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of Oracle middleware/application administration experience
  • Strong experience with Azure Cloud infrastructure
  • Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Strong experience with Oracle Database 19c/23c
  • Strong experience with Oracle WebLogic Server 12c/14c
  • Strong experience with Linux/Unix Administration (Oracle Enterprise Linux 7.x/8.x)
  • Strong experience with Networking, Firewalls, ACL’s, Load balancer configuration and maintenance
  • Strong experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware (ADF & RCU)
  • Strong experience with Oracle JDK 1.8 / JDK 21
  • Strong experience with SQL & PL/SQL
  • Strong experience with Shell scripting
  • Strong experience with REST/SOAP web services
  • Strong experience with JDBC datasource configuration
  • Strong experience with SSL/TLS configuration
  • Experience supporting enterprise production environments and critical applications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Oracle OFSLL applications

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Oracle enterprise applications across DEV, QA, UAT, and Production environments
  • Perform deployments, upgrades, patching, and environment refresh activities
  • Support Oracle WebLogic Server and Fusion Middleware environments
  • Configure and manage WebLogic Admin & Managed Servers, Node Manager, JDBC Data Sources, JMS Modules, ADF and RCU components
  • Monitor application health, batch processing, and loan servicing workflows
  • Perform JVM tuning, heap management, and garbage collection optimization
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and servers
  • Develop and execute comprehensive backup strategies and disaster recovery plans
  • Monitor system resource usage, identify bottlenecks, and optimize databases and SQL queries
  • Manage database user accounts, assign roles and privileges, and enforce data security and compliance policies
  • Configure and troubleshoot REST/SOAP web services
  • Manage Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) and reverse proxy configurations
  • Support integrations with banking systems, payment gateways, CRM platforms, and third-party vendors
  • Troubleshoot interface failures, middleware issues, and message queues
  • Support Oracle Database 19c/23c environments
  • Troubleshoot Oracle database connectivity and JDBC datasource issues
  • Support Oracle RAC and Data Guard environments
  • Monitor batch jobs, EOD/BOD processing, and interface transactions
  • Provide L2/L3 production support in a 24x7 environment
  • Perform root cause analysis and support incident/problem management activities
  • Configure SSL certificates, keystores, and truststores
  • Manage authentication, access control, and role-based permissions
  • Support audit and compliance initiatives including SOX controls
