The Senior MDM Solution Architect is a senior-level, client-facing role responsible for defining the strategy, architecture, and implementation approach for Master Data Management solutions. The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in MDM, data architecture, data governance, and enterprise integration with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technology solutions. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, data leaders, enterprise architects, and technical teams to design solutions that establish trusted, consistent, and governed master data across the enterprise. Experience within the Oracle and/or Salesforce ecosystems is highly desirable.

Requirements

10+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise data management, MDM, data governance, or a related discipline.
5+ years of hands-on experience designing and architecting MDM solutions.
Proven experience leading enterprise-level MDM initiatives across multiple data domains and systems.
Strong understanding of: Master Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Modeling, Data Architecture, Data Stewardship, Matching & Survivorship, Hierarchies and reference data, Data integration and synchronization
Experience developing enterprise solution architectures, conceptual/logical data models, integration architectures, and technical roadmaps.
Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, APIs, ETL/ELT, batch processing, and event-driven architectures.
Experience working directly with business stakeholders and senior client leadership.
Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and consulting skills.
Ability to lead complex initiatives independently while working effectively across business and technical teams.

Nice To Haves

Experience with one or more MDM platforms, such as: Informatica MDM, Reltio, Semarchy, SAP MDG, IBM InfoSphere, Oracle Enterprise Data Management / Customer Data Management, Salesforce Data Cloud
Strong experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and/or Salesforce.
Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or Salesforce integration technologies.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architecture.
Experience implementing MDM across Customer, Product, Supplier, or Financial domains.
Experience with data migration and large-scale data transformation initiatives.
Relevant Oracle, Salesforce, MDM, data architecture, or cloud certifications.
Experience in a consulting or professional services environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of enterprise MDM strategies, roadmaps, and solution architectures.
Define MDM architectures that support customer, product, supplier, employee, financial, and other critical master data domains.
Assess clients' existing data environments and identify opportunities to improve data quality, consistency, governance, and accessibility.
Define appropriate MDM patterns, including registry, consolidation, coexistence, and centralized MDM approaches.
Develop target-state architectures and implementation roadmaps aligned with business and technology objectives.
Establish data models, domain structures, hierarchies, relationships, and business rules.
Partner with business and data governance stakeholders to establish effective data ownership, stewardship, governance, and accountability models.
Define data quality standards, validation rules, matching strategies, survivorship rules, and data stewardship processes.
Design solutions for data cleansing, enrichment, standardization, deduplication, and reconciliation.
Help clients establish governance frameworks that support long-term sustainability of MDM programs.
Design integration architectures connecting MDM platforms with enterprise applications and data sources.
Develop strategies for integrating MDM with ERP, CRM, HCM, financial, supply chain, e-commerce, and other enterprise applications.
Work with integration teams to define APIs, event-driven integrations, batch processes, and data synchronization patterns.
Leverage technologies such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Salesforce integrations, APIs, ETL/ELT platforms, and other integration technologies as appropriate.
Provide MDM architecture expertise within Oracle and/or Salesforce environments.
Evaluate how MDM capabilities can support and extend platforms such as Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and Salesforce.
Support integration of master data across Oracle ERP, SCM, HCM, CX and Salesforce applications.
Where applicable, leverage capabilities such as Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM), Oracle Customer Data Management (CDM), Salesforce Data Cloud, or third-party MDM platforms.
Advise clients on build-vs-buy decisions and appropriate use of native versus third-party MDM capabilities.
Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives, enterprise architects, data leaders, and technical stakeholders.
Lead discovery sessions, architecture workshops, requirements discussions, and solution design sessions.
Translate business requirements into clear technical and architectural solutions.
Present recommendations, architecture diagrams, roadmaps, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Mentor consultants and technical team members and provide architectural guidance throughout implementations.
Contribute to Apex IT proposals, estimates, statements of work, and solution strategies when needed.
