About The Position

This role serves as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle EBS Financials, advising finance leadership on best practices, system capabilities, and process optimization. The position involves translating complex business requirements into scalable technical designs, creating and maintaining standard documentation (AIM/OUM methodology: BR100, MD050, MD070), and leading custom developments such as integrations, interfaces, reports, workflows, and extensions (RICE-W) tailored to business needs without compromising standard functionality. The role also entails leading end-to-end project lifecycles for financial rollouts, upgrades, and patches, managing offshore/onshore development resources, and ensuring code quality. A key aspect is deep diving into Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R) cycles to automate manual processes and enhance internal controls. Additionally, the role provides ultimate escalation support for critical month-end and year-end close issues, diagnosing data corruption, unposted journals, or workflow bottlenecks.

Requirements

Extensive, hands-on configuration experience in Oracle General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management (CE), and Subledger Accounting (SLA).
Proven experience with Advanced Global Intercompany System (AGIS), E-Business Tax (eBTax), and Approvals Management Engine (AME).
Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS accounting principles, financial reporting, and multi-org/multi-currency setups.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL. Ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, and APIs.
Expertise in BI Publisher (XML Publisher), Oracle Reports, and FSG (Financial Statement Generator) setups.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Workflow Builder, AME, and Oracle Forms Personalization.
Experience designing inbound and outbound interfaces using REST/SOAP web services, concurrent programs, and SQLLoader.
12+ years of total experience in the Oracle EBS ecosystem, with at least 4+ years operating in a Techno-Functional Lead or Solution Architect capacity.
Must have completed at least two full-lifecycle implementations and one R12.2.x upgrade.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) or Application Development Framework (ADF) is a strong plus.
Oracle Certifications in Financials or PL/SQL Development.
Understanding of the data model of EBS Financials intimately (e.g., knowing how XLA_AE_HEADERS links to GL_JE_LINES and the subledger transaction tables).
Proven track record of reducing month-end close times through system automation.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to say 'no' to bad customizations and guide the business toward standard functionality.
