About The Position

Zions Bancorporation’s Enterprise Technology and Operations team is seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Database Administrator/Application Developer to support and improve its Oracle EBS environment. The role focuses on detailed problem-solving and developing creative, efficient solutions. It involves administering Oracle EBS databases in RAC/Data Guard configurations and supporting Oracle EBS in an Exadata environment, including patching, cloning, performance tuning, and application configuration. The position collaborates with business partners and teammates to troubleshoot performance issues and maintain optimal system resources, and helps mentor and train other Oracle EBS DBAs. The role may be performed 100% remotely within the United States. Employees located within 50 miles of the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, Utah, may instead work a hybrid schedule of three days per week in the office. The center is a sustainably built technology and operations campus with features including EV charging stations, nearby transit and recreation, a cafe, natural light and fresh air, and a LEED-certified building.

Requirements

At least 2 years of Oracle Enterprise Business Suite administration experience.
Experience installing, upgrading, and patching EBS databases and applications.
Knowledge of EBS application and concurrent processing tier administration.
Knowledge of UNIX and Linux.
Experience cloning, backing up, and restoring EBS databases and applications.
Query tuning skills.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Bachelor’s degree and at least 6 years of experience in database administration, installing, upgrading, and patching databases, or other directly related experience; a combination of education and experience may meet this requirement.

Nice To Haves

Oracle Enterprise Business Suite R12 experience.
Oracle RAC and Data Guard experience.

Responsibilities

Perform activities in support of the R12 EBS environment.
Manage Oracle EBS databases in a RAC/Data Guard configuration.
Develop and maintain system documentation and processes for supporting Oracle EBS in an Exadata environment, including patching, cloning, performance tuning, and application configuration.
Collaborate with business partners to troubleshoot performance issues.
Work with teammates to ensure system resources are at optimum levels.
Help mentor and train other Oracle EBS DBAs.
