About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in PL/SQL, RAC, and Red Hat Linux/Unix shell scripting. The role involves managing Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, and providing after-hours production support. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in database design, installation, configuration, automation, and troubleshooting complex Oracle issues. Knowledge of Oracle Exadata, ASM, OEM, and data privacy initiatives is also required.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with Oracle, PL/SQL.
  • 2+ years of experience with Oracle 19c Multi-Tenant Architecture and database infrastructure design on RAC Databases.
  • Experience in Red Hat Linux & Oracle Linux Operating Systems.
  • Experience in standardizing Database installations and configuration.
  • Experience automating, scripting, and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy utilizing Unix shell scripting or other scripting tools.
  • Broad experience in performance tuning, utilizing OEM or third-party tools to finely tune objects and queries in Oracle 19c.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Oracle backup methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Linux, Unix, Java, and DBA.
  • Understanding of production environments, technical support, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Automatic Storage Management (ASM).
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata.
  • Experience working in UNIX operating system.
  • Ability to write simple to complex Linux/Unix shell scripts and Perl scripts.
  • Strong knowledge in Unix/Linux System administration.
  • Ability to work independently and to resolve complex Oracle issues.
  • Experience with data pump and working knowledge to use expdp and impdp.
  • Ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to data infrastructure.
  • Ability to write, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Stored Procedures functions, Packages and Database Triggers.
  • Ability to Tune Oracle SQL and PL/SQL performance.
  • Experience in logical database design and data models.
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle process.
  • Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability service.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
  • Knowledge of data privacy and protection initiatives.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of data masking using Test Data Management Tool.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent working skills with Oracle Exadata and 5+ years' experience with SQL performance tuning and database architecture.
  • Experience in converting traditional databases to Container Model – Oracle Multitenant architecture.
  • Experience working with Test Data Management Tool.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Oracle databases, including installation, configuration, and standardization.
  • Design and manage database infrastructure on RAC Databases, specifically with Oracle 19c Multi-Tenant Architecture.
  • Automate, script, and streamline processes for efficiency and accuracy using Unix shell scripting or other scripting tools.
  • Perform performance tuning of Oracle 19c objects and queries using OEM or third-party tools.
  • Monitor alert logs, OEM, and system alerts, and act on the results.
  • Participate in after-hours Production support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems pertaining to data infrastructure.
  • Write SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Stored Procedures, functions, packages, and database triggers.
  • Tune Oracle SQL and PL/SQL performance.
  • Perform logical database design and data modeling.
  • Monitor and tune databases to ensure high availability.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-wide data masking standards for Oracle databases.
  • Define masking rules, algorithms, and transformation logic.
  • Ensure masked data remains referentially intact across schemas and applications.
  • Configure and execute masking workflows using the organization's Test Data Management tool.
  • Build reusable masking templates, rule sets, and automation pipelines.
