About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Oracle databases on Exadata platforms and strong hands-on experience with Ansible automation. This role is ideal for a DevOps-oriented database professional who thrives in building automation, optimizing processes, and working within modern CI/CD environments. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, quick learner, and strong communicator who can work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Requirements

7+ years of experience with Oracle databases, including work on Exadata platforms
Strong, hands-on expertise with Ansible (mandatory)
Proficiency in Shell scripting and/or Python
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, XLR, or similar platforms
Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot automation frameworks
Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Familiarity with Jira and enterprise release management tools (e.g., Horizon, XLR)
Experience in large-scale enterprise or financial services environments

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for Oracle database environments, particularly on Exadata
Build and manage Ansible playbooks to automate database provisioning, patching, and operational workflows
Develop and maintain scripts using Shell and/or Python to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
Integrate database automation processes into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, XL Release (XLR), or similar
Troubleshoot and optimize automation and database performance issues
Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and application teams in an Agile environment
