About The Position
This is an immediate need for an Oracle Database Administrator III position located in Sunnyvale, CA, for a long-term engagement. The role requires extensive experience in Oracle database administration, specifically with Exadata.
Requirements
- 8 to 10 years of experience with ORACLE database administration as "Exadata DMA"
- Strong knowledge/experience in Exadata and Oracle 12c/19c RAC is a must
- Working knowledge on HCC
- Experience with Oracle database administration
- Experience with DMA
- Experience with Oracle
- Experience with AIX
- Experience with DATABASE
Nice To Haves
- Certified Oracle professional
Responsibilities
- Administration of Exadata components
- Running and analyzing Health check, ExaChk and SunDIAG Report
- Monitoring Exadata Db-Servers and Cell-Servers, InfiniBand and Admin Switches using OEM, CellCLI and DCLI
- Checking out the effectiveness of Flash Cache
- Performing Image upgrade of the Exadata Machines
- Working on cell node performance issues
- Database migration from On-Prem to Exadata
- Oracle database migration from Aix/Linux/Solaris to Exadata servers
- Patching Exadata machines
