Oracle Database Administrator
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator to manage, optimize, secure, and support enterprise Oracle database environments across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, and on-premises platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and cloud-based database deployments. This role will work closely with application, infrastructure, security, and data governance teams to ensure high availability, performance, compliance, and operational excellence for mission-critical systems.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience
- Strong experience supporting Oracle databases (11g through 23c)
- Expertise with Oracle RAC, ASM, Multitenant (CDB/PDB), and Data Guard
- Hands-on experience with RMAN backup and recovery strategies
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
- Experience administering Oracle databases in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Experience supporting Oracle databases in AWS environments (EC2 and/or RDS)
- Strong Linux administration experience (Oracle Linux or Red Hat Linux)
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), AWR, ASH, and performance tuning tools
- Knowledge of database security, encryption, patching, and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting high availability and disaster recovery environments

Responsibilities
- Manage Oracle databases across OCI, AWS, and on-premises environments
- Administer RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and Multitenant architectures
- Perform database installations, upgrades, migrations, patching, and maintenance
- Ensure maximum uptime, availability, and operational stability
- Oracle deployments in OCI, including Autonomous Database, Exadata Cloud Service, and DB Systems
- Manage Oracle workloads hosted in AWS
- Design and support hybrid cloud connectivity solutions
- Lead database migration and modernization initiatives
- Monitor and tune database performance using OEM, AWR, and ASH
- Optimize SQL and PL/SQL performance
- Forecast storage, resource utilization, and capacity requirements
- Develop and maintain RMAN backup and recovery solutions
- Support Data Guard and Active Data Guard environments
- Conduct regular DR testing and validation activities
- Ensure compliance with RPO and RTO objectives
- Implement TDE encryption and database security controls
- Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Manage user access controls and activity monitoring
- Develop automation solutions using Shell Scripting, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or OCI Resource Manager
- Support CI/CD integration and automated database provisioning
- Standardize operational processes and configuration management
