About The Position

In the assigned Job Role of Infrastructure Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below: * Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and document findings with preventive recommendations * Participate in evaluation of client IT infrastructure, prepare actionable assessment reports, and support due diligence to document infrastructure maturity and improvement opportunities * Contribute to the design of scalable, cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions, review reusable components, and develop technical documentation for deployed systems * Align release schedules and environment readiness, execute deployments as per protocols, perform post-deployment testing, and manage version control to track changes * Co-ordinate maintenance schedules, emergency fixes, and technology upgrades while ensuring uninterrupted integration into existing systems and processes * Facilitate performance data analysis across systems, coordinate insights on system behavior, and support capacity planning to optimize performance * Conduct security checks, recovery drills, and compliance audits, implement security measures, and coordinate continuity plans to maintain adherence to standards * Gather feedback to identify automation opportunities, analyze existing infrastructure processes, and propose enhancements for efficiency gains * Act as liaison with onsite, offshore, and vendor teams to document project requirements, ensuring effective collaboration * Develop a centralized repository of technical and procedural knowledge, leveraging insights from other projects to drive efficiency and retain organizational expertise Your contribution to the team: * A collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills. * Ability to handle complex incidents and implement resolutions * A knack for conducting IT infrastructure assessment and identifying key optimization opportunities * Focused approach towards deployment management, system optimization, and process automation initiatives including sector specific focus * The ability to work with cross-functional teams

Requirements

  • Expert level of understanding and hands-on Oracle Golden gate.
  • Hands-on AWS environment / setup.
  • Strong experience providing 24x7 operations and on call support.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high availability environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect resolution skills.
  • Experience working within ITSM.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

Responsibilities

  • Performing physical Oracle DBA activities for databases used, supported, or maintained as part of Services, including: Oracle database builds, installations, configuration, and decommissioning. Configuring and supporting Oracle RAC environments. Creating and maintaining Primary and Standby databases. Performing schema changes through approved user requests. Executing Oracle database upgrades using defined tools and procedures.
  • Configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting Oracle Data Guard environments including: Physical and Logical Standby configurations. Fast Start Failover (FSFO) setup and maintenance. Observer configuration and monitoring. Resolving Data Guard synchronization and failover issues. Supporting disaster recovery testing and activities.
  • Maintaining databases to meet availability, reliability, and performance SLAs. Performing database health checks, defect analysis, and resolution. Taking and managing logical and physical backups. Proactive and reactive server and database maintenance. Ensuring database environments remain patched, secure, and compliant. Performing routine and emergency maintenance activities as required.
  • Developing and maintaining automation scripts and tools using various scripting languages to improve operational efficiency. Monitoring database health and responding to alerts and incidents. Performing periodic analysis of ticket inflow and identifying improvement areas. Creating Service Requests (SRs) and coordinating with Oracle Support for issue resolution. Driving operational stability through automation and proactive monitoring.
  • Supporting Incident, Problem, Task, and BAU activities. Managing and resolving ServiceNow tickets and queues. Preparing and maintaining operational documentation, SOPs, and RCAs. Participating in database change reviews and impact assessments. Collaborating with application, infrastructure, and platform teams. Providing rotational on call support for P1 / P2 incidents.
