Oracle Cloud Conversion Sr Developer
About The Position
At Accenture Federal Services, the Oracle Cloud Conversion Sr Developer designs, builds, and executes technical solutions to convert legacy data into Oracle Cloud. The role develops complex SQL scripts for data transformation, creates reusable conversion templates, and leads data validation. It works closely with functional consultants to understand data requirements and client stakeholders to ensure data integrity, supporting implementation from mock cycles through final cutover. The developer leads conversion strategy and technical execution, owns data load cycles, resolves complex technical issues, and establishes validation and reconciliation processes. The role also mentors junior developers and collaborates with functional leads, business analysts, and client subject-matter experts. U.S. citizenship is required.
Requirements
- At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in data conversion or migration for Oracle Fusion Cloud (HCM).
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for complex data extraction, transformation, and validation.
- Proven experience leading technical data conversion activities through multiple project lifecycles.
- In-depth, hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud data-loading tools, including HSDL and HDL.
- Strong understanding of ETL principles and the full data migration lifecycle, from analysis through post-go-live support.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Applicants must have U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or other enterprise ETL tools such as Informatica.
- Background in federal, regulated, or public-sector environments.
- Skills in performance tuning SQL and data-loading processes.
- Experience in a client-facing or consulting role, with strong communication and leadership skills.
- ERP and SCM conversion experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design of data conversion strategies and create detailed source-to-target mapping documents for complex data objects.
- Develop, test, and optimize complex SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, and ETL processes to transform and cleanse legacy data into Oracle Cloud-compatible formats, including FBDI and HDL.
- Own and manage data load cycles, including mock cycles, dress rehearsals, and production cutover, ensuring technical dependencies are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, data errors, and performance bottlenecks, serving as the technical team's final escalation point.
- Design and implement data validation and reconciliation processes; develop scripts and reports to check post-load data accuracy and completeness.
- Mentor junior data conversion developers, provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and establish team best practices.
- Partner with functional leads, business analysts, and client SMEs to interpret data requirements, define transformation logic, and support data-cleansing initiatives.
