About The Position
The OR Tech / Surgical Tech works in the James Outpatient Care Operating Room within The James Cancer Hospital Surgical Services. The outpatient department has eight operating rooms and performs a range of cases, including robotic urology and gynecology procedures; hysterectomies, partial and radical nephrectomies, and cystoscopies; EGDs; orthopedic soft-tissue cases; and surgical oncology and plastic surgery procedures such as breast lumpectomies, soft-tissue mass excisions, mastectomies, tissue expanders, implants, and TRAM or microsurgical flap procedures. The position is based on the third floor at 2121 Kenny Road, Columbus, Ohio. The schedule is 40 hours per week on 8-hour or 10-hour day shifts, with call required as needed.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment.
- Call is required as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Oncology experience preferred.
