About The Position

The OR Supervisor, Environmental Service Workers will provide general supervision for operating room supporting staff. Their primary focus is on infection control and prevention and ensuring quality cleanliness of assigned areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 3+ years of environmental experience
• 1+ year leadership experience leading people and/or processes, preferably in a hospital setting
• Basic Life Skills Certification (BLS)
• Ability to perform calculations related to quality assurance and improvement inspections
• Basic knowledge of office equipment including a calculator and computer
• Experience in operating floor cleaning equipment
• Able to read, write, and speak English

Responsibilities

• Participate in rounding and assessing sanitation and proper cleanliness in patient rooms, and assigned public and ancillary areas
• Facilitate quality inspections
• Participate in hiring, coaching, evaluations, staff development, and employee engagement activities
• Responsible for scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage
• One-to-one training, assist in controlling and monitoring chemicals, supplies, and equipment, maintaining current adequate records of documentation
• All other assigned duties related to operating room support
