About The Position

CNY Fertility is a renowned fertility center offering advanced treatments like IVF, IUI, and egg freezing. With a patient-centered approach and cutting-edge technology, we support individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood. Our Registered Nurse Performs patient-specific duties in the area of fertility including patient care, teaching, triage, procedures, and PACU recovery, in an operating room setting under the direction of the physician.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of technical training.
  • Must be a graduate of an approved registered nursing program.
  • Critical care, Labor and Delivery, OR, or PACU experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • PACU recovery experience required
  • Active State Registered Nurse License
  • CPR/BLS

Responsibilities

  • Administers medications and follows medication protocols.
  • Starts, maintains, and discontinues IV lines.
  • Triages patient problems, questions, and concerns to the appropriate area.
  • Communicates, reviews, records all laboratory results.
  • Maintains factual and thorough health care records.
  • Prepares patients for procedures outlined below.
  • Assists in patient procedures, oocyte retrievals, cyst aspirations, dilatation and curettage, laparoscopic and hysteroscopy surgeries, epididymal aspirations, HSG, and selective catheterization.
  • Monitors recovery for post-op patients.
  • Participates in staff development, nursing conferences, infectious disease classes, and continuing education pertaining to area of expertise.
  • This position may also be responsible for performing other duties assigned, consistent with the role and operational needs of the organization.
