We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN to join our team at IVF Florida in Jacksonville, Florida. Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Wednesday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with two rotating weekend days per month and rotating holidays This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.

Requirements

  • Active RN license
  • 1 year minimum of clinical experience in Operating, Procedure Room or PACU required
  • Strong IV start skills required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification
  • Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
  • Ability to communicate accurately and concisely

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced assessment skills to formulate patient care plans and identify patient care problems
  • Perform initial preoperative assessment, develop a plan of care, and explain the subsequent phases of surgery
  • Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
  • Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
  • Provide patient education
  • Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
