Requirements

Current RN license in CA
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Circulating Nurse in an operating room setting
BLS, PALS and ACLS certification required
Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing care principles and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Nice To Haves

CNOR certification preferred

Responsibilities

Preparing the operating room and ensuring all equipment is sterile and functional
Assessing patients before surgery and ensuring proper positioning on the operating table
Communicating effectively with the surgical team throughout procedures
Advocating for patient safety and comfort at all times
Monitoring patient vital signs and responses to surgery
Administering medications as directed by the surgical team
Documenting all aspects of patient care accurately and in a timely manner
Assisting with patient transport to and from the operating room
