About The Position
The OR Charge Nurse is an entry-level management position responsible for coordinating care on designated shifts and providing leadership to unit staff in patient care. The role is at Breckenridge Ambulatory Surgery Center, a state-of-the-art, freestanding outpatient surgery center with six operating room suites and one procedure room. Surgical specialties include urology, gynecology, plastic surgery, oculoplasty, general surgery, and pain management. The position requires perioperative experience, strong clinical knowledge and skills, organizational ability, multitasking in a setting with frequent interruptions, flexible working hours, a positive attitude, and strong communication skills. The nurse must be committed to high-quality patient care and comfortable accepting responsibility in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an associate-level or higher nursing program.
- Active Kentucky RN license required.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required within six months.
- Perioperative experience required.
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills regarding perioperative care.
- Good organizational skills and ability to multitask with frequent interruptions.
- Flexible working hours.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and the ability to accept responsibility in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Prior management experience preferred.
- CNOR preferred.
