About The Position

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a part-time Optometrist to provide preventive and comprehensive eye care to seniors in underserved communities in Greensboro and Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This clinic-based independent contractor role involves working 3–4 days per month, on weekdays with flexibility in the specific days worked, and pays $1,000 per visit. Typical hours are 8:30 AM–4:30 PM. There are no nights or weekends, and the optometrist has no billing or administrative responsibilities.

The optometrist works within established partner clinics as an extension of a coordinated clinical team. Clinic staff are on-site full time, and CMC provides equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics so the optometrist can focus on patient care. The setting emphasizes organized scheduling and patient flow, team-based care, quality over volume, consistency, administrative support, long-term clinic partnerships, and ethical, mission-driven healthcare delivery.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program.
• Active North Carolina optometry license.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills.
• Comfort practicing in outpatient clinic environments.

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and preventive vision assessments.
