Optometrist (Borel Eye)
About The Position
Optometrist (Borel Eye) is a full-time float role where the optometrist will rotate between Borel Eye Doctors Optometry and Peninsula Family Optometric Group in San Mateo, California. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to build lasting patient relationships while growing clinically through a broad range of care, including comprehensive eye care, ocular disease detection/management, myopia control, dry eye treatment, specialty contact lenses, and surgical co-management. The practices are modern, technologically advanced, and supported by skilled staff and advanced diagnostic technology. The role emphasizes individualized, high-quality care for seven to ten patients per day in a collaborative practice environment.
Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure
- 1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
- Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties
Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive eye examinations
- Prescribing glasses and contact lenses
- Delivering full-scope patient care
- Rotating between Borel Eye Doctors Optometry and Peninsula Family Optometric Group
