About The Position

Borel Eye Doctors and Peninsula Family Optometric Group, located in San Mateo, California, are seeking an Optometrist for a full-time float role. This position involves rotating between two well-established practices, offering a comprehensive range of optometric care including comprehensive eye care, ocular disease detection/management, myopia control, dry eye treatment, specialty contact lenses, and surgical co-management. The practices are modern, technologically advanced, and supported by skilled staff, aiming to create an environment where optometrists can focus on providing high-quality, individualized care and building long-term patient relationships. Requirements

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure
1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills
Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive eye examinations.
Prescribe glasses and contact lenses.
Deliver full-scope patient care.
Rotate between Borel Eye Doctors Optometry and Peninsula Family Optometric Group.
Manage seven to ten patients per day.
Practice to the top of your license, including comprehensive eye care, ocular disease detection/management, myopia control, dry eye treatment, specialty contact lenses, and surgical co-management.
