Requirements

  • Licensed to practice in Arizona
  • One to two years of optometry experience
  • Confidence to diagnose and treat a variety of ocular conditions
  • Medically trained
  • Comfortable managing patients with glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and other complex visual needs
  • Experienced with contact lens exams and fittings
  • Optometry license in Arizona

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical optometry care in a private practice setting, including refractions, contact lens fittings, medical eye exams, cataract surgery co-management, punctal plugs, and treatment for a wide range of ocular conditions.
  • Diagnose and treat ocular diseases such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and dry eye.
  • Co-manage cataract surgeries.
  • Fit scleral and specialty contact lenses.
  • Care for patients with complex visual needs.
