OPTOMETRIST (PART-TIME, PER DIEM)
About The Position
Chinatown Service Center (CSC) is seeking a committed Optometrist with a strong sense of serving the community and a desire to make a positive impact. This is a part-time, per diem opportunity to work for a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), which may qualify optometrists for federal and state programs for student loan repayment. The role involves working in a multi-disciplinary community clinic with primary care optometry services, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with the last appointments at 4:00 pm. CSC is an equal-opportunity employer committed to fostering positive change and empowerment in our communities.
Requirements
- State-issued license for optometry and O.D.
- 3+ years’ experience working as an optometrist.
- Excellent customer service and organization skills.
- Advanced time management skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient care for patients with eye-related disorders and conditions.
- Conduct routine eye examinations and prescribe corrective lenses when required.
- Assist with contact lens fittings.
- Diagnose and assist with the management of ocular diseases.
- Educate patients about proper eye hygiene and care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
