About The Position

Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist (OD) to provide care at two outpatient clinics in Syracuse, NY. This is a clinic-based role where you’ll function as an extension of the clinical team within a coordinated, community-focused setting serving senior populations. This opportunity offers flexibility and professional support without the overhead and administrative burden of running your own practice. The setting is a community-based outpatient clinic model with on-site clinic staff, organized scheduling and patient flow, a coordinated, team-based care environment, and a value-based model focused on seniors. CMC manages equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing logistics, allowing the optometrist to focus entirely on delivering high-quality vision care. This is not a high-volume retail model; optometrists are integrated into established clinic environments and represent CMC directly within partner locations, emphasizing quality over volume, consistency, predictability, administrative and logistical support, long-term clinic partnerships, and ethical, mission-driven healthcare delivery.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
• Active New York optometry license
• Strong clinical judgment and patient communication skills
• Comfortable practicing in outpatient clinic environments

• Experience treating senior populations preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments
• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope of practice
• Prescribe corrective lenses and provide appropriate treatment recommendations
• Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team
• Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting
