About The Position

FYidoctors is seeking an Optometrist to join their well-established Weyburn clinic. This role involves practicing 4 days per week, with 5-6 days per month. The clinic has been serving the community for over 80 years and is the sole vision care provider in the area, ensuring a strong, loyal patient base and consistent demand. This position offers immediate clinical volume and the opportunity to make a significant impact in a close-knit community. It is suitable for both new graduates and experienced Optometrists looking to grow their careers and prioritize patient care and community involvement.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry degree.
• Licensed to practice Optometry in Saskatchewan.
• Ability to practice 4 days per week, with 5-6 days once per month.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Commitment to community involvement.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Optomap, OCT, Visual Field (Humphreys), Auto-refractor, Zeiss FORUM, FDT, and Tonometer.
• Experience in a rural or small-town practice setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye care to patients.
• Conduct eye exams and diagnose vision problems and eye diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and medications.
• Educate patients on eye health and preventative care.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
