About The Position

Family Vision of Anderson, located in Anderson, South Carolina, is seeking an Associate Optometrist to join the practice in summer 2026. Focused on maintaining quality and excellence through a period of physician transition, the team is also embracing innovation through cloud-based EHR optimization, exploring AI scribing in the exam room, and adopting emerging technology to support a patient-centric approach. Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry degree
• Licensed to practice in South Carolina
• Provide three professional references
• Strong clinical judgment
• Ability to listen closely to patients
• Expertise to prescribe spectacles and contact lenses for optimal vision outcomes
• Ability to order and interpret diagnostic testing for medical optometry
• Collaborative mindset

• Optometry license in the state of South Carolina

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye exams and medical office visits while exercising professional clinical judgment within the scope of state law.
• Work with advanced diagnostic technology, including the Oculus Keratograph 5M, Zeiss and Optovue OCT, Eidon wide-angle camera with autofluorescence, EyeRes anterior segment camera, TearLab, RetEval ERG, virtual visual fields, and low-level red light therapy.
• Deliver high-quality patient care.
• Build a long-term career in a well-established South Carolina practice.
• Perform specialty contact lens fittings.
• Manage myopia.
• Diagnose and treat dry eye.
• Provide diabetic care.
• Provide glaucoma care.
• Perform cataract co-management.
