Family Vision of Anderson, located in Anderson, South Carolina, is seeking an Associate Optometrist to join the practice in summer 2026. The practice offers a wide range of specialized services, including specialty contact lens fittings, myopia management, dry eye diagnosis and therapy, diabetic care, glaucoma care, and cataract co-management. Focused on maintaining quality and excellence through a period of physician transition, the team is also embracing innovation through cloud-based EHR optimization, exploring AI scribing in the exam room, and adopting emerging technology to support a patient-centric approach. Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry degree
  • Licensed to practice in South Carolina
  • Provide three professional references
  • Strong clinical judgment

  • Expertise to prescribe spectacles and contact lenses for optimal vision outcomes
  • Ability to order and interpret diagnostic testing for medical optometry

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive eye exams and medical office visits while exercising professional clinical judgment within the scope of state law.
  • Work with advanced diagnostic technology, including the Oculus Keratograph 5M, Zeiss and Optovue OCT, Eidon wide-angle camera with autofluorescence, EyeRes anterior segment camera, TearLab, RetEval ERG, virtual visual fields, and low-level red light therapy.
  • Deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Build a long-term career in a well-established South Carolina practice.
  • Perform specialty contact lens fittings.
  • Manage myopia.
  • Diagnose and treat dry eye.
  • Provide diabetic care.
  • Provide glaucoma care.
  • Perform cataract co-management.
