Part-Time Optometrist
About The Position
OroSight is patient-centered, delivering preventive vision programs and services inside local clinics. We partner with health centers to advance health equity through integrated, prevention-first care, ensuring every patient receives high-quality, accessible vision services. This is a Part-Time Contract position. Candidates must be available to work in-clinic specifically on Mondays and Fridays. Provide preventive vision programs to a local clinic. Requirements
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited program
- Active California Optometrist License (or equivalent)
- Enrollment with Medi-Cal (required)
- Demonstrated experience in primary eye care and preventive services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently
Nice To Haves
- Therapeutically certified
- Glaucoma certified
- Experience with complex eye conditions and preventive programs
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams and preventive vision assessments in-clinic
- Prescribe vision correction and provide medical eye care recommendations
- Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and follow-up treatments
- Work closely with clinic staff to ensure high-quality care and smooth patient workflow
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to regulatory compliance
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and platforms effectively
- Provide input on clinical protocols and process improvements
