About The Position

We are seeking an Optometrist for a 2-month assignment in Montana. The role involves providing comprehensive eye care services, including routine eye exams, managing ocular diseases, fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses, and performing minor surgical procedures. The provider will work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, seeing an average of 15 patients per day. Experience with slit lamp exams, tonometry, and retinal imaging is required. The position starts ASAP and ends in August, with a 2-week credentialing timeframe.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
• Experience conducting routine eye exams
• Experience managing ocular diseases (glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, etc.)
• Experience providing emergency eye care (e.g., foreign body removal, ocular trauma)
• Experience fitting and prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses, including specialty lenses
• Proficiency with slit lamp exams, tonometry, and retinal imaging
• Familiarity with standard optometric diagnostic and treatment equipment
• Experience with contact lens fittings
• Experience with minor surgical procedures

• MT licensure preferred
