Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in a retail optometry office
Strong optometric pre-testing skills and comfort working independently
Experience with optical sales, eyewear dispensing, and EHR documentation
Familiarity with vision insurance verification
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment

Nice To Haves

Experience with contact lens training/education
Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

Perform independent pre-testing, including visual acuity, auto-refraction, tonometry, retinal imaging, OCT, visual fields, and more
Accurately document patient information and exam findings within the EHR system
Provide optical sales support, including frame styling, lens recommendations, eyewear dispensing, and patient education
Schedule patient appointments, manage clinic flow, and verify vision insurance benefits
Deliver outstanding customer service and assist with patient intake, check-in, and clinic operations
Maintain exam rooms, diagnostic equipment, and clinical supplies
