About The Position
This is a 3-month internship position from June to August 2027, located onsite in Allentown, PA. The intern will participate in coherent optical subsystems test set development, learn Creol, and contribute to designing new hardware solutions. The role involves defining and configuring required test hardware, developing and supporting automated manufacturing test infrastructure, and working with AI to increase team productivity.
Requirements
- Working as part of a team to develop and build complex mechanical systems
- Basic understanding of mechanics and materials
- Highly motivated and independent thinker
- Teachable, with a willingness and desire to ask questions and seek answers
- Foundation in AI tools and an understanding of their limitations
Nice To Haves
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of analyzing complex problems and developing effective solutions
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Strong communication skills
