We are currently looking for Opto-Mechanical Assemblers to join our team onsite in our Hudson, NH office. We foster a professional, high-energy culture where employees are empowered to succeed. This position will assemble, inspect and perform acceptance testing on complex optical-mechanical systems. To accomplish this effectively, the Opto-Mechanical Assembler must work independently from: engineering drawings, engineering changes, bills of material, work instructions, test procedures and production schedules.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building and testing optical systems
  • Experience with complex structures having precision parts
  • Familiar with system level testing
  • Comfortable operating PC based test equipment with custom software
  • Experience diagnosing system level issues
  • Capable of developing assembly procedures for prototype builds

Responsibilities

  • Builds and validates precision electrical-optical-mechanical assemblies in strict accordance with procedure.
  • Enters data into company databases
  • Uses standardized tools and electric equipment to perform mechanical assembly on opto-mechanical assemblies.
  • Executes simple standardized process inspections/tests throughout the production process.
  • Interfaces with engineers to support special builds, and experiments with detailed instructions.
  • Prepares completed assemblies for shipment.
  • Follows control measures and processes to ensure the quality of modules produced.
  • Maintains a clean work area, and is responsible for designated tools
