About The Position

As an Opto/Mechanical Technician at MKS, you will be responsible for the assembly of optical systems. You will make an impact by auditing work order kits, preparing subassembly components, following written procedures or drawings, assembling and debugging systems incorporating optical, mechanical, and electronic components, and testing each level of assembly using laboratory instruments. You will also be responsible for packaging the final assembly daily if completed, and cross-training is required.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of related experience for Level 2
  • The ability to work in a clean room environment
  • Experience entering data numbers into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets templates
  • The ability to speak, read, and write in English

Nice To Haves

  • 0-2 years of related experience for Level 1

Responsibilities

  • Audit 1-2 work order kits from warehouse to confirm pieces and part numbers
  • Prepare subassembly components
  • Follow written procedures or drawings
  • Assemble and debug systems incorporating optical, mechanical, and electronic components
  • Test each level of assembly (4-5 processes) at the system level using laboratory instruments. Alignment, optimization, stability, transmission, etc.
  • Package the final assembly daily (if assembly is completed)
  • Cross training is required (trainee and/or trainer)
