About The Position
Adventure Dental & Vision in Wichita, Kansas, is seeking an Optician to join its pediatric vision business. The position reports to the Assistant Operations Manager and supports the organization’s mission to provide high-quality, compassionate services to underserved children. The pay range is $18–$24 per hour, with monthly bonus opportunities.
Requirements
- At least one year of previous experience as an optician.
- Experience and interest in working with children.
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Nice To Haves
- ABO certification.
Responsibilities
- Assist pediatric patients and families in selecting eyeglass frames that match their prescriptions.
- Confirm proper frame fit and make adjustments.
- Work with glasses and contact lens orders and quotes.
- Educate patients and families about frame options and coatings.
- Help with frame repairs and troubleshooting.
- Keep the practice clean and presentable, including cleaning restrooms and the patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Perform other duties that support the business and its mission of providing high-quality, compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children.
