Requirements

  • Graduate of a Bachelor's program in science (Bsc), an Opticianry program (license not required), a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), or a Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT).
  • Comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365.
  • Motivated to learn how to use various diagnostic and testing tools.
  • Flexible availability on Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays.
  • Ability to travel for training and work at other clinics (expenses covered by Vision Group), if necessary.
  • Sense of responsibility and take your role seriously.
  • Ability to easily connect with others and quickly establish trust.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of EMR systems is an asset.
  • Experience in an eye-care environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Complete preoperative and postoperative measurements, offering clear explanations to patients throughout the process.
  • Review imaging maps to validate their accuracy.
  • Be knowledgeable about procedures and technologies available in the clinic.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and patient care.
  • Support the organization’s Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization’s overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks.
