About The Position

Optical Lab Technicians cut, edge, and create prescription lenses so customers receive their glasses in a timely manner. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Experience working in a lab or technical setting.
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow technical manuals and protocols.

Responsibilities

Identify and work with basic optical laboratory equipment, tools, supplies, and materials.
Consistently meet hourly deadlines for finishing jobs.
Read and interpret prescription specifications and enter them into the computer to ensure lenses are cut properly.
Keep the lab area and equipment safe and organized.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly lab equipment maintenance.
Perform multiple tasks concurrently at different equipment stations to maintain acceptable job flow.
