Responsibilities

Process work orders to workload and prioritize orders to ensure productivity.
Maintain quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory by scanning product in and out of departments using system software.
Sort, place, and store freight or work orders in proper locations.
Move freight manually.
Prepare lenses for production, including tracing, blocking, and first inspection.
Produce lenses for placement in frames using edging equipment.
Manually mount lenses in frames and assemble eyewear.
Complete cosmetic add-ons such as polish and tint.
Prepare lenses for production, including layout, taping, and blocking.
Create curvature and thickness of lenses according to prescription using lens grinding equipment.
Apply hard coating to lenses.
Prepare lenses for add-ons such as tint and no-glare.
Maintain quality standards by reviewing and analyzing work tickets or other information for accuracy.
Adhere to standard operating procedures.
Evaluate produced work for quality.
Communicate with other Walmart associates and vendors verbally or in writing.
