About The Position

We're looking for a detail-oriented and efficient Optical Lab Manufacturing professional to join our team in Salt Lake City, United States. In this dayshift position, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining anti-reflective coating equipment while ensuring the highest quality standards in optical lens production. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, precision focus, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in optical manufacturing, coating processes, or related manufacturing environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precision in a fast-paced production setting
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical specifications, blueprints, and work instructions
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate specialized manufacturing equipment
  • Solid understanding of quality control principles and inspection techniques
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team during dayshift hours
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document production data accurately

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with anti-reflective coating technology or optical lens manufacturing
  • Background in equipment operation, maintenance, or troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and statistical process control

Responsibilities

  • Operate anti-reflective coating equipment and machinery according to established protocols and technical specifications
  • Monitor and control coating processes to ensure consistent quality and adherence to production standards
  • Inspect coated optical lenses for defects, surface quality, and anti-reflective properties using visual inspection and measurement tools
  • Maintain accurate production records, documentation, and quality control logs throughout each shift
  • Organize and maintain work stations, equipment, and materials in a clean and efficient manner
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, cleaning, and calibration as required
  • Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues to supervisory staff
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations within the optical manufacturing facility
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes and equipment performance
