Raytheon’s Effector Optics Department is responsible for the delivery of affordable and innovative EO products. Accountable for program execution including cost, schedule and technical oversight throughout the product lifecycle. Providing resources to drive development and sustainment activities of our optical products. Our multi-disciplined teams manage a variety of engineering projects while maintaining a work life balance.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with any of the following: EO analysis or design.
  • Experience with laboratory optical measurement equipment.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Root-Cause Corrective Action investigations.
  • Experience performing engineering design of EO subsystems; including test and production/supplier/sub-tier supplier support of test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control, EO component fabrication, assembly processes and related industry specifications.
  • Experience with any of the following tools: Code V, and MATLAB.
  • Experience with subsystems integration and test, post test flight analysis, problem investigation, Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements, technical writing, formal presentation, and implementing Engineering Change Notices.
  • Self-starter who’s capable of working independently as well as with a small technical team.
  • Providing technical oversight and direction, cost estimation, tracking & reporting, coordination, preparation of detailed technical team reports, and proposal support.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance optical engineering skills working with EO hardware testing and debugging assemblies or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to achieve/document concurrence and resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration.
