This position is responsible for maintaining merchandise presentation, stocking, organizing product displays, and ensuring the sales floor in the Optical area is in accordance with company policies. The role involves receiving and stocking merchandise, organizing the area, and handling paperwork. It also includes operating hardware for member purchases, assisting with payments, returns, and exchanges. The associate will educate members on eyewear usage and care, support contact lens insertions and removals, and sell Optical products and services. Key duties include measuring pupillary distance, adjusting and repairing frames and lenses, completing eyewear/contact lens orders, and verifying prescription information. The role involves troubleshooting member non-adapt issues, communicating with labs and optometrists, processing orders, monitoring trial lens inventory, and ensuring equipment calibration and cleanliness. The associate will perform final inspections of eyewear, troubleshoot equipment failure, and coordinate repairs. As applicable, the role includes scheduling patient appointments, performing pre-testing, and collecting payments for doctor/telehealth services, while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and company procedures. The associate will also request, review, and process insurance claims and payments for eye care materials and doctor services. Completing assigned virtual and hands-on trainings, developing knowledge of eye anatomy and diagnostic testing, and participating in internal development opportunities are also key aspects. The role requires satisfying apprenticeship and state board requirements towards achieving state licensure, where applicable, and registering with the state board for apprenticeship or permit to work within 60 days. Maintaining NPI registration is also required. The associate will lead and participate in teams, develop and implement processes, and promote compliance with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity.
