About The Position

This position involves operating a TAPS ramp-equipped minivan to safely and efficiently transport students and staff with mobility-related disabilities. The role also includes patrolling campus areas to ensure compliance with University of Florida rules regarding vehicle parking and operation, performing parking attendant duties, restricting access to parking facilities for special events, greeting visitors, and issuing parking permits. Additionally, the position requires successful completion of a UFPD traffic training course for gameday support, maintaining TAPS vehicles, and preparing daily activity records. Miscellaneous duties as assigned by TAPS administration are also part of the role.

Requirements

• Class E driver’s license
• Completion of at least 9th grade

Responsibilities

• Operate a TAPS ramp-equipped minivan to transport students and staff with mobility-related disabilities.
• Aid passengers needing assistance with boarding and alighting the vehicle.
• Patrol assigned campus areas (streets, parking facilities, traffic entrances) to ensure compliance with University of Florida rules and regulations.
• Perform parking attendant functions and restrict access to UF parking facilities for special events.
• Greet visitors and issue parking permits as needed.
• Complete UFPD traffic training course to assist with gameday parking and traffic duties.
• Keep TAPS vehicles clean and orderly.
• Prepare and maintain daily records of activities.
• Perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by TAPS administration.
