About The Position

The Ops Sup Intermed Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for providing operations support services, including but not limited to; record/documentation maintenance, storage & retrieval of records, account maintenance, imaging and the opening of accounts in coordination with the Operations - Core Team. Additionally, the Ops Sup Intermed Analyst serves as the liaison between operations staff, relationship managers, project managers, custodians and clients. The overall objective of this role is to provide day-to-day operations support in alignment with Citi operations support infrastructure and processes. This pivotal C11 role will serve as a Lead Operations Analyst / Senior Process & Control Specialist within the newly established Operational Performance, Audit and Learning (OPAL) team at Citi, reporting directly to the Team Manager (C12). This individual will be instrumental in amplifying the team's mission to drive operational excellence, fortify proactive risk management, and foster continuous learning across Core Operations Wires. The role will provide critical leverage by bridging strategic oversight with specialized execution, offering advanced analytical and project coordination support across the team's key initiatives.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial, statistical, and operational studies using analytical skills and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies
  • Interpret data and results based on the analysis of information and application of professional judgement
  • Apply project management to assist operational projects as assigned
  • Perform feasibility analysis for significant process changes and partner with business teams to develop process improvements and solutions that help to streamline the operational workflow
  • Resolve varied and complex issues using professional judgment, discretion, and business expertise
  • Provide informal guidance and training to new and lower level team members, as needed
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Lead Project Coordination: Drive the end-to-end coordination and management of complex, cross-functional projects (e.g., process optimization initiatives, control enhancement programs) to ensure seamless execution and timely delivery.
  • Advanced Operational & Control Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of operational processes, data patterns, and control effectiveness within Core Operations Wires, translating complex findings into actionable insights and preliminary recommendations for the C12 Manager.
  • Deliverables Management Support: Collaborate closely with the Deliverables Management B10 to analyze complex audit, regulatory, and Continuity of Business (COB) requirements, contributing to the development of robust remediation plans and control frameworks.
  • Process Improvement Leadership Support: Partner with the Technology & Process Improvement B10 to conduct feasibility analyses for proposed process changes, evaluate technology solutions, and refine procedural documentation for critical operational workflows.
  • Strategic Reporting & Metrics Guidance: Provide analytical support and guidance to the Reporting & Metrics B10, assisting in the development of advanced reporting methodologies, strategic dashboards, and critical performance insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Mentorship & Quality Assurance: Offer informal guidance, coaching, and peer review to the B10 officers, fostering their development, ensuring consistency, and maintaining high quality across all team outputs and initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key liaison with operational C12 managers, internal audit, compliance, and other partner teams to facilitate effective communication, gather requirements, and ensure team initiatives are aligned with broader organizational objectives.
