Requirements

  • High school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • References must comment on lab/research experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions with good work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of genetics and cell biology
  • Basic knowledge in molecular biological and histological procedures and techniques including tissue sectioning, immunohistochemistry and fluorescence microscopy appreciated
  • Knowledge of specific software such as GraphPad, Excel, ImageJ and Photoshop desired for data analysis
  • A background in mouse husbandry and tissue dissections would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Mouse colony management (breeding, genotyping, and general animal care)
  • Tissue harvesting
  • Cell culture techniques
  • Maintaining clean and organized lab areas
  • Managing ordering and supply inventories
  • Creating and updating spreadsheets and other lab documents
