About The Position

This position involves hands-on laboratory work, including mouse colony management (feeding, breeding, genotyping, and general animal care), tissue harvesting, protein detection assays (western blots and immunofluorescence), molecular cloning, histology, and tissue culture. The role also includes maintaining organized lab areas, managing ordering and supply inventories, and creating/updating spreadsheets and lab documents.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 3 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions with a good work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of genetics and cell biology
  • Basic knowledge in molecular biological and histological procedures and techniques, including tissue sectioning, immunohistochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy, is appreciated
  • A background in mouse husbandry and tissue dissections would be a plus.
