About The Position

The OPS Research Coordinator will assist in the development of project standard operating procedures and forms, recruit and retain study participants, and coordinate all team members involved in testing. This role involves administering research procedures and assessments, including cognitive assessments and other study-specific testing. The coordinator will manage day-to-day logistics for research projects, including scheduling of imaging visits, and will respond to participant and study-related inquiries in a timely manner. Additionally, the position requires collecting, entering, and managing study data, utilizing project management software, and tracking project milestones. The coordinator will also collect, manage, and report metrics of research success, such as grants, grant dollars, and publications. They will work closely with the study team to coordinate participant activities and imaging, and will be responsible for de-identifying data and preparing it for blinded analysis. Ordering study materials and retaining records/archiving documents after project close-out are also key responsibilities. The role involves assisting with regulatory compliance reporting and IRB filings, ensuring study activities are completed within timeframes, and managing study finances, including sponsor invoicing and resolving billing issues. The OPS Research Coordinator will act as a liaison for research participants, investigators, IRB, sponsors, and healthcare professionals. This position will also coordinate scheduling and testing with imaging facilities for MRI studies and assist in the day-to-day management of the laboratory. Other duties include coordinating special studies or projects as directed and performing other tasks as requested by the PI.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Education and Behavior, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Public Health, Kinesiology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of relevant experience in human subjects research.
  • Experience with project coordination, data management, and basic analysis techniques.
  • Experience with research conducted in community and clinical settings, NIH-funded projects, and IRB submissions.
  • Must be able to work well in a team effort with other investigators.
  • Must communicate well and be able to establish organizational structure.

Responsibilities
