  • The position you are applying is subject to a Level 2 background and CJIS security clearance, to include fingerprinting as a condition of employment pursuant to Chapter 110.1127, 435 and 943, Florida Statutes.
  • As an applicant for positions requiring CJIS security clearance, you are required to disclose criminal records that have been sealed or expunged.
  • The incumbent must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing. This means there can be no cancellations, suspensions, or revocations for a minimum of three years prior to employment and for the duration of employment.
  • There can be no more than three chargeable crashes or any violation of Chapter 316, Florida Statutes, during any consecutive three-year period prior to and throughout employment.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.

Responsibilities

  • Document and fulfill public record requests that are made to the Florida Highway Patrol.
  • Acknowledge and process requests in a timely fashion.
  • Analyze and interpret data and policy procedures to arrive at logical conclusions or recommendations.
  • Communicate with other records technicians, FHP troop administrative support personnel responsible for delivery of public records, and managers as required, to coordinate efforts of others within the organizational unit and/or coordinate activities between units.
  • Plan and schedule activities to accomplish individual and unit goals and objectives.
