About The Position

The OPS PALM Administrator position serves in a critical role as part of the Florida PALM Project team. This position provides support to the Agency Liaison, Business Liaison, and the CNN (Change Champion Network) by monitoring, tracking, and reporting the progress of readiness activities, RW task, agency risks, issues, and mitigation plans. The role involves creating and managing the internal workplan to navigate through the Project, established timeline, and internally driven readiness activities, and communicating status updates with the supervisor and CNN. Additionally, the position is responsible for creating and managing the Payroll communication plan, maintaining open and frequent communication with key stakeholders, participating in internal CNN meetings, and engaging with other stakeholders and liaison roles as needed. The administrator will work with Payroll staff to complete all required PALM tasks, document change impacts, and develop and implement a Payroll-specific plan for the successful adoption of Florida PALM. Training will be provided to Liaisons on the new PALM system. The position also performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of payroll processing procedures.
  • Knowledge of Principles and Techniques of written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of FLAIR Payroll system.
  • Knowledge of Department of Financial Services & Department of Management (DMS) Rules, Bureau of State Payroll Manual, and Florida Statutes.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable policies, procedures and rules relating to Payroll.
  • Ability to be organized and prioritize work assignments.
  • Ability to collect and evaluate data relating to Payroll functions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Two (2) years or more experience in Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR).
  • Three (3) years’ experience in Project Management.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
